Off the Avalon: Friends in Gander is the ultimate winner in this region. Alderborn’s in Grand Falls-Windsor takes home second place. Third place is awarded to Whiteall's in Clarenville. place.

Beer Brand
Newfoundlanders and Labradorians know their beer. This category always draws lots of attention and the ballots are the counted so pass us a cold beer from our list of winners.
Avalon: Labatts Blue edged out the competition to take this year’s trophy. Molson Canadian finished a very close second. Pouring a glass in third place is Northern Light.
Off the Avalon: First and second place roles were reversed in this region. Molson Canadian came out on top. Labatts finished in second. Northern Light finished in third place.

Are you in the market for a good book to curl up with? How about the latest Newfoundland best seller or a great mystery. Whatever the genre of book you’re looking for, drop by one of reader-recommended stores for the best buys.
Avalon: Chapters is the overwhelming favourite in first place. Closing in on second place is Coles. Bennington Gate takes home third place this year.
Off the Avalon: The Book Worm in Gander is the top choice in book store. Coles takes home the silver book award. Third place is awarded to the Library in Grand Falls-Windsor.

With low mortgage rates, new home construction has really taken off. Whether you are in the market to build a new home or have some minor or major renovations on your list, be sure to check out one of our Best of winners.
Avalon: In this region Kent Building Supplies hammers out the best deal. Chester Dawe follows in a close second. Third place is awarded to LeDrews Lumber in Kelligrews.
Off the Avalon: The overwhelming favourite is Murley’s in Marystown. A distant second-place finish goes to Stan Dawe in Grand Falls-Windsor. Nailing a third-place finish is True Value in Clarenville.

If you’re the type who needs a new car every three to four years. Why not go the way most people in your boat are heading and that’s leasing. For best in car leasing, Newfoundland Herald voters have some suggestions.
Avalon: Hickman’s closes the deal on first place. Royal Garage settles into second place. Penny Mazda rounds out the pack in third place.
