Radio Announcer
Along with each individual radio station comes equally individual radio personalities. When you switch on the radio your own personal tastes will dictate which radio Announcer's unique style you are drawn to. The best radio announcers as a result of this year's ballot are the following:
Avalon:
For the second year in a row Deborah Birmingham of OZ FM takes home the gold medal, Randy Snow of OZ FM is second, with Paul Raines of VOCM in third.
Off the Avalon:
Voters off the Avalon have chosen the voices of three VOCM radio announcers. Fred Drodge is first followed by Jim Coady and Paul Raines.

With extremely successful bands like Great Big Sea, Newfoundlanders and Labradorians are making great strides in the music industry. Here's how Herald readers rated their favourite musical groups.
Avalon:
Celtic Connection rises all the way to the top spot amongst readers, followed by Great Big Sea in second place and The Ennis Sisters in third.
Off the Avalon:
The first and second place winners off the Avalon are the same as those on the Avalon. Celtic Connection and Great Big Sea are obviously two favourites province-wide. Finishing in third: The Fables.

Some great talent has graced the stages across the island this year and further shows are yet to follow. Check out the current line-ups at one of these favourite theatres near you.
Avalon:
The Arts and Culture Centre in St. John's repeats its reign at the top again this year. In second place is the LSPU Hall with Empire Theatres, Avalon Mall, in third.

Live Theatre Company
Newfoundland and Labrador has produced a lot of great aspiring performers over the years. Take, for example, Tina Maddigan a St. John's native who is currently starring in the ABBA musical presently playing in Toronto. The live theatre companies recognized this year are:
Avalon:
St. John's Players has won yet again this year followed by Rising Tide Theatre in second place and the LSPU Hall in third.
Off the Avalon:
Voters off the Avalon chose Acting Up in Gander as their number one live theatre and Soundings came in a close second.

Number one with viewers off the Avalon is the ever-popular Who Wants to be a Millionaire. Second choice was the NTV News followed by Here and Now.
